Jessie and JoJo: Launches on 31 August 2022
Updated: Aug 16, 2022
I am thrilled to announce the launch of my first foray into the world of children's literature. It has been a wonderful distraction from the pain of a pandemic and a cathartic distillation of my experiences working with children as an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) and Drawing and Talking Practitioner, for the past nine years.
Jessie and JoJo covers essential themes, including: Children's mental health and wellbeing, dealing with worries, belonging and psychological safety, as well as choosing and building friendships. Jessie experiences these topics through a wonderful world of imagination, in the safe company of JoJo.
As a former ELSA, I am championing that all schools should have an ELSA as a mandatory role. I am proud to be supported by MP, Munira Wilson; who is herself, an active and dedicated advocate for Children’s Mental Health.
Jessie & JoJo will be supporting the work of the NSPCC in the UK and WIRES in Australia. A donation from sales will be made to these amazing charities.
